Nantclwyd Y Dre is one of the oldest timber framed buildings in Wales. This property boasts many forms of haunting and on our ghost hunt, it did not disappoint. It has over 5 centuries of activity building up to give us the haunted and most active property we see today. Our first visit uncovered the malevolent spirit of a judge, who murdered a governess when she tried to protect the children from his temper. He threw her body down the stairs and managed to cover up her murder. Her spirit walks the corridors to this day. We also heard mischievous teenagers running through the property. Certain guests could not stay in one particular room and a guest was so scared when he felt a ghostly hand pinch him hard that he ran out the room!
The house has seen many uses over the centuries, as the home of a lord, as judges’ lodgings and as a rectory to name but a few. Given the age of this property it is no surprise that it has seen more than its share of ill health and tragedy. Are you brave enough to investigate this haunted and highly active property with us? You can participate in communicating with spirits by using traditional and modern ghost hunting techniques. If you want to, you can take part in overshadowing of spirits, Scrying (which is overshadowing a spirit using a mirror), using ouija boards and participating whilst one of our mediums channels any spirits who are active and willing at the property.
