Description
Ripon Workhouse is a large and foreboding Victorian workhouse, built between 1776 and 1885, with long, spooky corridors and cold, dark cells. Conditions were cruel and harsh and many who entered the workhouse as a last resort worked and died there. Many have reported feelings of being watched and followed along the corridors of the workhouse and others have reported that their hair has been pulled. There are reports of banging coming from the room with the locked coffin and others have heard voices and screams coming from empty rooms.
