Description

See the whipping post used to punish the inmates as you walk into the entrance courtyard and look at the shackles and chains used to hold prisoners here in their barred cells. Many were held here and then sent on to York to be hung or have their capital punishments carried out. There have been reports of yells and screams from empty cells and the sounds of ghostly footsteps along the corridors. Enter the old jail to ghost hunt if you dare!
